Daniel Boulens, General Manager of Public Parks and Gardens, City of Lyon (France)
Daniel Boulens is currently the General Manager of Public Parks and Gardens of the City of Lyon, including the botanical and zoological gardens. He joined IFPRA organisation in 2001, and then became a member of the World Urban Park Association. He graduated in 2017 as the first “Certified Park Professional International” in France from the Indiana University (USA).

The 2017 international rankings emphasize how much the City of Lyon (France) has changed over the past ten years. As the first French city, ahead of Paris, for attractiveness and quality of living, according to the Pricewaterhouse Coopers consultancy, and the leading weekend destination in Europe, as recognized by the latest World Travel Awards, Lyon stands out for the way it balances the development of economic dynamism, cultural vitality, social cohesion and the environment.
In Lyon, nature is everywhere, and the Department of Green Spaces, is a pioneer in the «zero phytosanitary products» approach and has been certified ISO 14001 since 2005. It has turned the urban parks into veritable biodiversity reserves.
We propose to teach you about our latest application for the «Four Flowers» label, a national competition that enhances the quality of life of the French Cities.
