Dr Bridie O’Donnell was appointed Head of Victoria’s first Office for Women in Sport and Recreation in October 2017. A former champion cyclist and physician, Dr O’Donnell is leading the charge to change the face of sport and recreation and level the playing field for women and girls.
Josie Crea, Group Manager, Special Projects, Sport and Recreation Victoria
Josie currently leads the team delivering a number of projects funded through the Victorian Government’s investment into professional women’s sport across the NRLW, W-League and AFLW competitions.
The $67 million program aims to improve facilities for each code’s elite female participants by delivering a broad range of infrastructure such as female friendly change facilities, high performance facilities, and match day infrastructure.

Complimentary investment is required to support Victoria’s elite female clubs and organisations and provide the facilities needed to nurture our world class talent.
